How to re-setup 2-Factor-Authentication on a new device?

In case you got a new phone and wants to set up 2-Factor-Authentication, simply follow the steps:

Login in the tchop backend. You can login here: https://tchop.io/login

Enter the 6-digit passcode from your Google Authenticator device
Note: You will only be asked to enter the 6-digit passcode if 2-Factor-Authentication is activated in your organisation

Go to your profile page. You can do it by simply clicking on it: https://tchop.io/me

Click on ‘Reset GA’
Note: You will only see this option if 2-Factor-Authentication is activated in your organisation

Install the Google Authenticator app on your NEW smart phone. Here are the download links:

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/google-authenticator/id388497605

Open the Google Authenticator app and select the option to ‘Scan the barcode’
In case you are having difficulty scanning barcode, select ‘Enter key manually' option

Scan the barcode provided on your screen;
In case you selected the option to enter the key manually, click on ‘Can’t scan barcode?' and copy/enter the long key in the Google Authenticator app along with your email address in the provided fields in the Google Authenticator app and save the details

Enter the 6-digit OTP generated by Google Authenticator app in the space provided in the tchop platform

Click ‘Set up’ and confirm you action
Please note: You need to be quick while verifying the 6-digit code from the google authenticator device as the code expires after 30 seconds and you get a new code.


Once you have successfully reset your 2FA on a new device, you can only login by entering the OTP generated by the newly set up Google Authenticator account.
